Dr. Digby James Wren is the Chair of Belt and Road Capital Partners, a geopolitical risk, investment and trade, public diplomacy and education partnership advisory firm. He holds research degrees in both International Relations (Deakin U) and Public Diplomacy (ECU) and is the founder and publisher of Long Mekong Media and patron of the Young ASEAN Minds Education program.
Dr. Wren is a recognised sinologist, leading scholar on China’s Belt and Road Initiative *Mr. BRI* and Lancang/Mekong Riparian Relations. He was the English editor for the 2023 official Royal Government of Cambodia biography of Senate President Hun Sen and was formerly the External Relations advisor to the Royal Academy of Cambodia. Dr. Wren continues to teach at a number of leading universities in China, Australia and France and has contributed scholarly articles to many academic journals and conferences worldwide. Current research activities include Geopolitics and Global Political Economy, Small State Diplomacy, BRICS, ASEAN and RCEP Economic Development, China-Australia Relations, China-EU Relations, China India Relations, China-US Relations, Global Public Diplomacy, Regional Media and Communications, Local Social Media, and International Education Partnerships.
